Core value of the month: compassion

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear Monta Loma Families,

Fall Festival

It was a thrill to see you at Fall Festival on Friday. We greatly appreciate your participation and enthusiasm in our community events, and we are ever impressed by your generosity with time, effort, and donations.  Because of your fun attitude, and hidden talent as carnival barkers, we raised more than $5000 to support field trips, assemblies, after school programs, and so much more. So many volunteers made this event successful that I couldn’t possibly name them all here, but special thanks go to Elizabeth Jones for her leadership of the event.

If you haven’t yet joined our PTA, please do so at montalomapta.org. Just click on the membership link and follow the steps. While your there, check out the other ways to get involved.

Attendance Reminders

Monta Loma’s attendance rate for the year so far is 97.11% Our goal this year is 97% which is right on track. You can help us keep on track by making sure your student comes to school on time every day. Illness, doctor’s appointments, bereavement, and certain religious exercises are excusable absences. Please see MVWSD board policy for the full list.  All other reasons are not considered excused.

As we head into the cold and flu season, you can help us stay on track by making sure students eat healthy foods and practice good hygiene. Talk to them about the importance of washing hands before eating and after using the restroom.

In partnership,

Gloria
