Core value of the month: compassion

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear Monta Loma Families,

Thank You Volunteers!

We have great reason to be proud of the family engagement and volunteerism at Monta Loma. Our deepest appreciation goes to the volunteers who continue to participate in our daily activities like Project Cornerstone and STEAM. Events like this are only possible with the support of volunteers just like you.

Here’s a couple of opportunities for anyone to get involved on Monday November 18 and Friday November 22.

  • Lawrence Hall of Science is presenting their Build, Engineer, and Invent hands-on exhibits allowing young minds to blossom.

No experience or science background required! Please sign up for a time slot in  UpToUs (Click here) or with your child’s teacher. On the day of the assembly, check in at the office and arrive at the MUR 30 minutes before orientation. You can volunteer for one or more of these sessions.

Session 1:  Time: 9:40-10:30 Grades: K-2

Session 2:  Time: 10:55-11:45 Grades: 2-3

Session 3:  Time: 1:20-2:10 Grades: 4-5

In Partnership,

Gloria

PTA NEWS

Thank you for coming to the Superintendent coffee! It was great to see all of you there!

Important Update: Movie Night is Postponed to Friday, November 22nd!!!

Unfortunately, due to several factors, we have not been able to secure enough volunteers to help run Movie Night this Friday. Rather than cancel the event, we are going to postpone it by one week to try to recruit more help!  We will be showing Toy Story 4!

Please consider volunteering for this fun community event on Friday, November 22nd. The link for volunteer sign ups is here: Movie Night Volunteer Sign Up Sheet - 4th & 5th Grade.xlsx

If we don’t have enough help by Tuesday, November 19th, we will have to cancel Movie Night, which will be disappointing for all.

Thank you for helping us make this event a success!
